Welcome to my first blog post. The idea for the blog was pushed forth by my youngest sister, who thinks my parenting is just the bee’s knees’s. She doesn’t have kids yet, so I can’t decide if the compliment means more or less than if she had spawn of her own. Either way, I will take it. She suggested that I write my experiences and the things I have learned over the past 7 years (I wrote 6 at first! How is my baby 7 already!?) and put it out into the internets. Even if no one ever reads this page, I will have a journal of sorts to look back on. So here I am. I’m writing.

The plan is to explore my parenting, things that work, things that don’t, and everything in between. One size does not fit all when it comes to different kids and different families, but I have always tried to take the best parts of different ideas and find a way for them to work for me. So my style is just another idea, hopefully you can take away one or two things that will work for your family.  Follow along this Harry Potter, Doctor Who, wine, and coffee fueled journey.
